Lumi On Facebook

I have been contemplating for the longest time if I really want to start a facebook page specially for my new lifestyle blog over at LUMINNEJ. One of the concerns was that I don't want to have too much repetitive contents appearing everywhere across different platforms, but after much thought, I decided to go ahead and just start one. To my surprise, it does allow me to have another space where I can update some additional contents (apart from my blog posts) more frequently and up-to-date, so to speak.   It does stand apart a little, yet still gel together and link to what I have been blogging on LUMINNEJ, which is absolutely awesome. I guess it serves a whole different purpose and audience, though. Whichever it is, am glad for all the love and support that I am getting from my readers for LUMINNEJ as I am still so new. Lots more to learn and improve on.

Flashing on Flickr

I have recently come to discover that Flickr is such a great place to house and showcase all your pictures, simply because they are all kept in hi res format and there is a really HUGE storage space too! The best part is you also get to connect with others who love photography and see their work being displayed in full glory! I must say I am just a novice photographer but no worries, I am learning as I go along.

Something surreal about the colour of nude, somewhat innocent, dreamy, sensual yet sophisticated at the same time. It carries you like the wind, it caresses you like the morning sun touches your soft subtle skin, it allows you to be who you are and brave enough to bare your all, yet feeling all comfortable inside out. You feel safe, secure and vulnerable at the same time. Discovering who you truly are is to love yourself  more every single moment. It is intoxicating, it is liberating. It is passion in its subtlety.

Inspiration {Dreaming Pastel}

Colours paint your dream, music drench your soul, writing soothes your mind, which I have not been doing lately. Been writing, but writing that has to relate to work, it is somehow different. Luckily, my work is also about creative writing. Best part about writing is that you can conjure up any possible thing you could allow your mind to dream up - fiction. How much of this fiction that I conjure up is based on reality? Very much so, yet you have a certain degree of freedom to alter, to enhance, to seduce, to provoke. Words, meaning, visuals, sound, all made possible through creative writing, making all the characters come to life. Loving pastels. They evoke a certain sense of serenity, yet exciting enough to instill moments of surprises.  

Dream: {Delicious Valentine}

A delicious Valentine came true this year for me. It was absolutely a pleasant surprise from my beloved. Bathed in romantic atmosphere, pampered with excellent food and services, and most of all, having a great time alone with the love of my life, is the very first Valentine's that is truly special. Love you baby, for making my dream Valentine come true xoxo

We are after all, women of the new century. We dive into the exciting call of the unknown, we plunge deep into the lure of discovering ourselves more and more. Stumbled upon Anna Malmberg's photography through one of my favourite sites, deco8. Lots of lovely posts I absolutely adore on deco8, she has such sense of style and artistic eyes and hands for things and creations in life. I am really in love with some of the shots taken by Anna, a Swedish photographer based in Paris. More of her work can be seen here. Very refreshing indeed. I have come to realize, no matter what you do, in order to be the best, you need to carve a certain character and personality out of the work you do or produce. I guess this is what in film we called the Auteur. You are, ultimately, your own greatest creation. To find your own true voice in life, is the most rewarding part of rediscovering yourself. {I am, still, searching for mine}

Inspiration: The Lightness of Opulence

I have always thought that chandelier is something of a luxury spending, a little OTT to light up a space, and look too lavish. But since I came across these pictures, I had a shift of mindset. Chandelier, if done well, can be very uplifting, it gives the space its richness without being too affluent if they are paired down with a few simple main furniture and fixtures. Of course, it will look fantastic for dinners with family and friends for that special occasion, like Christmas and Chinese New Year. Who wouldn't like all things beautiful in life?
